SHELTON, Conn. — Two Shelton men were arrested this week and face a range of charges for allegedly stealing from a fire-damaged home in the city before setting it ablaze last year.
Shelton police said Joseph Lapinta, 25, was arrested Monday, while Daniel Champagne, 26, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Both men face the same charges - first-degree arson, first-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.
According to the police department, the incident took place on Dec. 6, 2024.
