Members of God's Mission Outreach have been working to establish a food distribution center in the Panther area of McDowell County. Organizers said the need is urgent across the state, and that the issue is especially pertinent in rural regions. "It's so important because not only are the adults starving and can't eat, there's infants down in that area," said God's Mission Outreach Secretary, Stephen Selner II. "There's children.
