SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Colleges Foundation (SCF) announced an emergency support Thursday, seeking food donations to support students at Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCCC).

SCF says the Student Support Appeal program is addressing the increase in demand for basic needs for students. This includes emergency aid funding and stocking the college food pantry.

“The Foundation usually asks for help supporting students’ futures,” said Executive Director of the Spokane Colleges Foundation Heather Beebe-Stevens. “But right now, many of our students are not thinking about their futures – they are wondering how they are going to feed their kids tonight.”
