ROSEVILLE, Calif. —

A listeria outbreak linked to Nate's Fine Foods in Roseville has resulted in six deaths and 25 hospitalizations, according to the Food and Drug Administration's update on the outbreak that began this summer.

Nate's Fine Foods, located near Industrial Road and Roseville Parkway, first opened in 2012 and produces precooked and fully cooked ready-to-eat meals, including pasta, grains, vegetables, and legumes.

Recently, the company voluntarily recalled nearly 245,000 pounds of its precooked pasta after linguine tested positive for the listeria strain causing the outbreak. The FDA enforcement report lists several products removed from grocery stores such as Walmart, Sprouts and Trader Joe's.
