Jammu, Nov 06: Following the formation of the Jammu Division in Northern Railway, various initiatives are being implemented under the Freight Policy by the Divisional Railway Manager, Vivek Kumar, and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal, aimed at reducing logistics costs and making freight transportation accessible to small businesses.

According to a statement issued here, on November 5, 2025, a BCN wagon loaded with 952 paper bundles and paper rolls, weighing a total of 52 tons, departed from Kathua Railway Station of Jammu Division for Azara Railway Station of Rangiya Division in Guwahati, Assam, on the Northeast Frontier Railway, at a freight rate of Rs 1.28 lakh.
