Big-hearted takeaway staff will be cooking up Christmas dinners for pensioners on their own during the festive period. Kimble's, in Billingham , which serves a large range of hot and cold food, is expecting to deliver at least 70 lunches to old people in the community who will be spending Christmas Day on their own.
Owner, Louise Waller, said they have cooked and delivered the lunches, which are distributed on Christmas Eve, a few times before and said some of the pensioners have no family at all, a number are in their 90s and there is even a 100-year-old. Louise, who opened the food shop in Kenilworth Road, ten years ago, said: "We have done it a number of times over the years.
"It is just something we can do to give back to the community. We get to know our customers and some of them
