Tulane’s face-plant in the Alamodome against Texas-San Antonio may have been a one off, but Memphis has played at a higher level all year and shown plenty of resiliency at home, where it has not lost since 2023. To keep realistic hopes alive of reaching the American Conference championship game for the fourth straight year, the Green Wave will need to play mistake-free on offense, contain dual-threat quarterback Brendon Lewis and cover a heck of a lot better in the secondary. Even doing two of those three likely would not be good enough against the hungry Tigers, who are seeking their first title-game appearance since 2019.
