PHOENIX (KVOA) - Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that Angel Cesar Cuji-Patajalo was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court on November 4, 2025, after pleading guilty to attempting to possess a dangerous drug for sale, a class 3 felony.

"My office is fighting drug trafficking on every front," Mayes said.

Cuji-Patajalo attempted to possess approximately 10.15 pounds of methamphetamine for sale on May 20, 2025, in Pima County, Arizona.

Cuji-Patajalo received a three-year prison sentence and was ordered to pay $4,500 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated the case, and Assistant Attorney General Sabrina Lochner prosecuted it.
