LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Little Rock School District said they are thankful for a surprise gift from a local church.

School district officials said members of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church delivered early Thanksgiving grants to multiple LRSD schools, as part of the church’s Give Thanks, Give Back initiative.

The grants were presented to six schools in the district, totaling $6,000.

The schools that were gifted grants include: • McDermott Elementary • Terry Elementary • Otter Creek Elementary • Chicot Elementary • Western Hills Elementary • Stephens Elementary

According to LRSD officials, the checks were hand-delivered by St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Billy Burris and other church members.
