LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WXIX) - Local union leaders held a vigil for the 13 confirmed victims of a deadly plane crash in Louisville Thursday night.
The 13 th victim was announced by the city’s mayor, Craig Greenberg, at the vigil.
“We pray tonight for the victims and their family,” he said. “It is with deep sorrow that I announce there is an additional victim.”
Representatives from the Teamsters, Independent Pilots Association and the American Federation of Labor spoke about the importance of solidarity in moments of tragedy as some of their workers were lost.
FOX 19 spoke with Magellan Malala, who is an employee of UPS. He said he knows people who work at the facility where the incident occurred.
