HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The "Brews Bites and Bids" fundraiser at the Log Cabin in Holyoke successfully brought the community together to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western Massachusetts.

The event aimed to raise $50,000 to fund the organization's programs, which provide adult mentors to young people in need across the region.

Despite the wide service area, Big Brothers Big Sisters must raise all their own funds. "From our mentoring programs, we really see a lot of great outcomes that a lot of young people who are realizing better relationships with their peers, doing better in school and doing better at home. And that's really important to us," said David Beturne, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western Massachusetts.
