ROCKPORT, Ind. (WEHT) — Customers showed up to address specific concerns during CenterPoint's "Community Connect," but one customer came under the impression the event would have a public open forum portion. But when he showed up seeing booths around the room with pamphlet handouts, he left scratching his head.

CenterPoint kicked off the first of its five "Community Connect" events in Rockport, hoping to have conversations that included offering customer support and allowing them to look at financial assistance programs.

One customer, Jim Shields, was under the assumption the event would serve as a "town hall" for customers. Shields says he hoped tonight he'd be able to rally with other customers.
