CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigated a homicide in east Charlotte on Thursday night.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said on Thursday, Nov. 6, shortly after 9 p.m., officers were called to Central Avenue near Hawthorne Lane regarding a dead body that had been found.
Major Ryan Kendall said that some coworkers found the person’s body and they called 911.
Major Kendall said that the person suffered some trauma, and there was some type of altercation that may have led to their death.
At the time of this writing it was unclear what exactly caused the person to die.
