Erin Bernat had quite the uphill climb in her first year as Kingsway’s head coach.

She took over a program that had won three consecutive Group 4 titles but lost numerous cornerstone pieces of its roster in recent years. Her squad dropped its first six games of the season and had just four wins in its first 13.
