Poundland has pulled a bag of nuts from its shelves after the product was found to possibly contain glass, making it unsafe to eat.

Customers are now being urged not to consume the store's Tasty Snack Co. Roasted and Salted Cashews - and instead return it to a Poundland store for a full refund, with no proof of purchase required. The safety warning reads: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. However the safety and confidence of our customers and the quality of our products is at the heart of everything we do."

According to the Food Standards Agency, the affected products are the 100g packs with a best before date of July 19, 2026 - part of batch 56T 25255. It said: "Poundland & Dealz is recalling the [....] product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail
