Poundland has issued an urgent product recall for a popular snack over safety concerns. Customers are being told not to consume the items and to return them to stores for a full refund . ‌

The discount retailer's alert affects certain 100g packs of 'The Tasty Snack Co. Roasted and Salted Cashews'. Packets with batch codes '56T 25255' may contain pieces of glass, creating a potential risk to consumers. ‌

A message issued by the store said: "Poundland & Dealz is recalling 934088 ROASTED & SALTED CASHEW NUTS as a precaution because the product may contain glass, making this unsafe to eat." It added: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. ‌
