New Delhi: Air traffic at Delhi Airport is currently facing delays due to a technical issue with the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS), which is crucial for supporting Air Traffic Control (ATC) data.

The malfunction is disrupting the automated processing of flight information. As a result, air traffic controllers have switched to processing flight plans manually. This necessary safety measure is inherently slower than the automated system and is the main reason for the reported delays.

"Controllers are processing flight plans manually, leading to some delays," a spokesperson confirmed.
