The stakes are high as the undefeated Gaylord Blue Devils (10-0) travel to face the equally unblemished Mount Pleasant Oilers (10-0) in a Friday night MHSAA Division 3 district championship game.
After missing the playoffs entirely last season, Gaylord has engineered a remarkable turnaround behind senior quarterback Kelsen Snyder, who threw for two touchdowns in last week’s 38-34 semifinal victory over Marquette. The Blue Devils also benefited from senior Grayson Glazier’s versatile performance, as he found the end zone both on the ground and through the air.
The host Oilers cruised to a 35-14 semifinal win over Bay City Western, with Xavier Creguer dominating by accounting for four touchdowns (three rushing, one passing).
Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, November
