A South Boston man on Wednesday received a 15-year prison sentence for killings he perpetrated in 1984 and 1993, the first of which was linked to notorious gangster James “Whitey” Bulger , records show.

Michael Anthony Lewis, 65, received his prison term after pleading guilty Wednesday in Suffolk Superior Court to two manslaughter counts in connection with the 1984 slaying of Brian Watson and the 1993 killing of William Villani, legal filings show.

Lewis will receive credit for the more than three years he’s spent behind bars while the cases were pending, according to court records.

Lewis had been charged with murdering both men and faced life sentences in each case.
