The Malawi Police Service has arrested several senior officers, including the Officer-in-Charge (OC) for Neno Police Station, Senior Superintendent Charles Kasalika, who previously served as Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the National Police Headquarters.

According to reports, Kasalika was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning and is being transported to Lingadzi Police Station under police escort. Also reportedly arrested is Inspector Gracian Sipirian, the current Senior Crime Investigation Officer (SCIO) for Mzimba, who until last month headed the Scenes of Crime Section at Area 30.
