LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - NTSB crews wrapped up their first full day of investigations Thursday at the site of the UPS plane crash in Louisville.

WAVE News spoke with a former National Transportation Safety Board member for insight on what takes place during investigations, and the timeframe over what updates could be expected in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

“It typically takes about 5 working days,” John Goglia said. “But sometimes in really intense accidents like this one, it could take longer than 5 working days. However long they’re going to be at the scene, (they’re ) gathering factual information.”
