Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday inspected the progress of Tata Electronics’ Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) project at Jagiroad in Assam’s Morigaon district — the region’s first-ever semiconductor assembly and testing facility.
Accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Finance Minister reviewed the project’s development and later interacted with young entrepreneurs and students during an event titled “Enterprise Assam – Viksit Bharat @2047.”
Addressing over 200 participants from across the State, Sitharaman called upon the youth to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation as Assam enters what she described as a “golden moment of growth.”
