GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood Fire Department (GFD) fought a residential fire in the 1000 block of Astoria Court on Thursday, November 6.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Greenwood Fire Crews, with assistance from the White River Township Fire Department, responded to a blaze engulfing a residence. The fire caused substantial damage to the roof and front porch of the building. The Greenwood Fire Department managed to get the fire under control by 8:48 p.m.

The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage are currently unknown.
