BOISE, Idaho — The Federal Aviation Administration is reducing the number of flights in some of the nation’s busiest airspaces as the government shutdown continues and airports struggle with staffing shortages.
While Boise Airport is not among the 40 major airports affected by the FAA’s flight cuts, the changes could still have ripple effects for Idaho travelers flying to or through major regional hubs.
Cities such as Denver, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas are all on the FAA’s list of airports that may experience delays or cancellations starting Friday.
