ROCK, W. Va. — A shooting complaint in Rock, West Virginia, on Thursday morning escalated into a fatal barricade situation after a 72-year-old man allegedly shot his older brother, leading to a deadly exchange of gunfire with the West Virginia State Police.
The incident began at approximately 9:35 a.m. on Thursday, when the Mercer County 911 Center reported a shooting complaint. The victim, 80-year-old Randall Mabe of Rock, was found lying in the roadway of Rock Road, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
