Maria Florinda Rios Perez , a 32-year-old house cleaner and mother of four, was fatally shot on Wednesday (November 5) near Indianapolis after she and her husband mistakenly arrived at the wrong address for a cleaning job. According to her brother, Rudy Rios , the couple, originally from Guatemala, had moved to Indianapolis just a year ago.
The tragic incident occurred in Whitestown, Indiana, when Rios Perez and her husband, Mauricio Velázquez , approached a home in the Heritage subdivision. Velázquez told IndyStar that he was searching for the correct key when he heard a gunshot . Rios Perez was shot in the head and died in her husband's arms on the porch of the home.
