This season, Poole has played in seven games, starting in four of those games.
He is averaging 17.3 points and 3.4 assists, while shooting 35.4%.
The Pelicans traded for Poole this offseason as part of a three-team deal.
Poole was sent over from the Washington Wizards, along with Saddiq Bey and Micah Peavy, for CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk and a future second-round pick.
Earlier this week Zion Williamson was ruled out with a grade 1 left hamstring injury.
On Tuesday, the team said he would re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
