ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Three men in Alexander County were involved in a road rage incident after a man allegedly used counterfeit currency to purchase narcotics from the other men, according to the Alexander County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office received a report of a possible road rage incident near the intersection of County Home Road and Millersville Road Thursday, Nov. 6.

Officers determined that Robert Galle had traveled to Catawba County to purchase narcotics from Brian Brown and Albert Schroeder.

Brown and Schroeder were allegedly defrauded by Galle, who reportedly used counterfeit currency to pay for the narcotics.

Following the fraudulent transaction, Brown and Schroeder pursued Galle's vehicle. Shots were fired into Galle's vehicle during the purs
