ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene father was arrested after his small child allegedly fell out of a moving vehicle because he did not have a car seat.

Christopher Mack, Jr., was booked into the Taylor County Jail Thursday for Endangering a Child in connection to an incident that was reported in March.

Court documents state CPS launched an investigation into Mack after a witness saw his small child fall out of a vehicle while it was moving and, "hit the ground face-first."

This witness says a woman then got out of the vehicle to check on the child but when the witness asked if it was okay, she would not respond, according to the documents, which state Mack was driving the vehicle and would not respond to the witness either.
