BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Federal Aviation Administration is reducing flights nationwide. It’s all connected to the government shutdown.
Forty airports across the country could be affected by these FAA cuts, flight cancellations and delays. More than 780 flights have been called off nationwide, according to FlightAware, and this is just one of the issues airports are facing.
North Dakota travelers anxiously arrived at airports, despite concerns about delays and cuts throughout the country, the ripple effects threatening to reach even smaller airports.
“We were worried about the Chicago piece because we had heard that they had reduced their flights by 10%, and that was like a hub of the problems in the country,” said traveler Mike Liffrig.
