This decision will affect air travel in major cities like Atlanta, Dallas, New York City, and Los Angeles, as of Friday.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy revealed that 40 high-volume areas will see a 10 percent reduction in air traffic. This measure aims to address the shortage of air traffic controllers, who are currently working without pay.
