HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — The final major elements of Section 1 of the Ohio River Crossing in Henderson are set to open to traffic this weekend, offering new connections that aim to expedite travel times and improve safety.
The new KY 3690 roadway, the relocated Kimsey Lane, and new interchanges at U.S. 60 and U.S. 41 are expected to open by midday on Saturday, November 8.
Gov. Andy Beshear and local officials celebrated the completion earlier this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community event.
