TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla., (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Courts went above and beyond to help veterans Friday by relieving stress from minor legal issues.
With Veterans' Day around the corner, officials said it is more important than ever to help those who served the country.
Organizers said their Veterans Outreach Court is a second chance for our nation's heroes.
When they arrive, they get help with minor legal issues, their fees waived, help with VA benefits, as well as a free haircut and meal.
Pedro Valderrama served in both the Army and the National Guard. He showed up to Veterans Outreach Court for a fine he got over a year ago while driving.
The veteran said he was experiencing a medical condition while driving and crashed.
