ATLANTA ( WANF /Gray News) - Tyler Perry reportedly donated $1.4 million to help families facing hunger amid the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit cuts.
The Atlanta-based media mogul told People he’s donated millions to organizations that support families impacted by benefit cuts to the SNAP program.
Those organizations include the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Meals on Wheels Atlanta , Caring for Others , All for Lunch , Ron Clark Academy and Goodr , which are all based in metro Atlanta.
Perry also reportedly donated to Baby2Baby , which is based in Los Angeles.
Perry is known for paying it forward in Atlanta.
Throughout his career, Perry has been vocal about his early life and the challenges he faced to make it to where he is now.
