Edmonton police say the city saw an increase in shootings in October.
EPS says that during October, 16 shooting incidents were reported, which is an increase of five compared to September, and an increase of three compared to October 2024.
Of the 16 reported shootings, 12 are believed to have been targeted, and seven resulted in injuries. Additionally, two people died as a result of shootings.
