APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers is continuing the Salute to Service week by honoring veterans and giving back with a series of events.
“To be with our Vets today and just to hear and remember the stories and what they’ve done for us over the years, maybe in a history that we weren’t a part, but that they put their lives on the line for us, it’s very rewarding to be here today to honor them,” said Amanda Wery, Community Outreach Manager with the Green Bay Packers.
“It’s the camaraderie, that you feel that you’ve left behind when you serve. It’s good to get with other folks,” said Randy Price, an Appleton Marine.
On Friday morning, packers staff serving Breakfast to Veterans at Saint James Methodist Church in Appleton in partnership with Vets and Friends of Wisconsin.
