GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — New developments on Friday indicate a big turnaround for North Carolinians who rely on SNAP benefits.
After uncertainty and delays, the state said partial payments were loaded onto EBT cards. On Friday afternoon, the USDA announced it will fully fund November SNAP benefits.
On Friday morning, more than 586,000 North Carolina households saw partial SNAP payments appear on their EBT cards that were smaller than what they usually receive.
The state said the rest of those benefits could arrive as soon as this weekend after the USDA agreed to fully fund the November payments.
For one Greensboro mother, just seeing any amount show up brought some relief.
