Lyon County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the commission meeting room at the Lyon County Courthouse to officially canvass the results of the 2025 general election.

The canvass, conducted by the Board of Canvassers, is a required post-election review that ensures every valid ballot is accurately counted before results are certified. During the process, election officials will determine whether to count provisional ballots, review any ballot-marking issues, and verify that the number of ballots cast matches the number of voters who participated.

The procedure also allows officials to confirm that election staff and poll workers followed proper procedures throughout early voting, mail-in voting and Election Day operations.
