New Delhi: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced on Friday that no American officials would attend this year’s G20 summit in South Africa, mentioning what he described as unfair treatment and violence against white farmers. The G20, which brings together leaders from major and emerging economies, will be hosted in South Africa later this year.

Trump had said earlier that he would not personally attend the summit. Vice President JD Vance was expected to represent the U.S., but according to a source familiar with his plans, Vance has also cancelled his trip.
