Oregon State women’s basketball tipped off its season with a blowout win and gave itself plenty of game tape to study in the process.
The Beavers (1-0) weren’t always dominant, but they beat NAIA school Corban University, 86-45, on Friday at Gill Coliseum.
It was the first game of the 2025-26 schedule for OSU, but just an exhibition for the Warriors (3-0 in NAIA) as they traveled down from Salem.
The Beavers were led by freshman forward Lara Alonso-Basurto with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. Tiara Bolden had 13, including a pair of threes, adding six steals as OSU forced 21 total turnovers.
Ally Schimel poured in 11 for OSU, and both Kennedie Shuler and Lizzy Williamson scored 10 apiece, combining for four blocks.
OSU got off to a 7-0 start, fueled by the interior presence
