Bills' fan favorite signs a contract to leave NFL and play professional lacrosse

Casey Rogers is taking a left turn in his professional life.

He's still going to be a pro athlete, though.

Rogers is a 6-foot-5 big dude who spent the summer in Buffalo Bills training camp as a defensive tackle. He gained a lot of fan following and did some positive charitable work off the field before the Bills cut him loose.

Now, Rogers is going to be a pro lacrosse player.

The Philadelphia Wings announced on Friday that they have signed Rogers.

Wings have signed former Buffalo Bill, New York Giant, and Syracuse Lax commit Casey Rogers to a three-year deal. Welcome to Philly, Casey! #WingsLax #LetItFly pic.twitter.com/JCnjMciPqL — Philadelphia Wings (@NLLwings) November
