LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
UPS, Boeing and GE are facing their first lawsuit in connection with this week’s deadly cargo plane crash in Louisville, which left 13 people dead and several others injured.
The class-action lawsuit, filed this week, alleges the companies failed to properly design, manufacture, maintain, and operate the aircraft. General Electric is also named in the complaint. Advertisement
Records previously obtained by WLWT revealed the plane had major mechanical issues and had been out of service for a month prior to the crash.
On Friday, crews continued repair work along Grade Lane, where several nearby businesses were damaged by the explosion and fire.
