Ryker Kennedy isn’t quite sure if this connection with his quarterback, Joey Felitsky, is telepathic. That sure seems the case.
Last season, Felitsky led the WPIAL in passing as a junior at North Catholic. Kennedy — then a junior, as well — led the WPIAL in receptions and finished third in yardage. Felitsky again finished this regular season atop the passing rankings, throwing for 2,870 yards and 39 touchdowns. On Friday night, in No. 5 North Catholic’s 55-32 win over No. 4 Elizabeth Forward in the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals inside Warrior Stadium, Kennedy caught three of Felitsky’s five touchdown passes.
