This year, Christmas Day falls on a Thursday, while Boxing Day is on a Friday. If you are due a benefit payment on either of these days, it is likely you will be paid on Wednesday, December 24, instead.

This is due to the fact that benefits are not disbursed on bank holidays. New Year's Day, also a bank holiday, falls on a Thursday this year.

If you're due a payment on this day, you should expect to receive your money on Wednesday, December 31.
