Senior midfielder Antonio Dimitrijoski struck for his third goal of the season during the seventh minute of action in the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 1 quarterfinal matchup between five-seed Middlesex and four-seed Shore.

Dimitrijoski’s early strike proved large as the Blue Jays soared to a 1-0 victory in West Long Branch to reach the semifinals for the second straight season.

Senior goalkeeper Kevin Rand recorded six saves in net to secure his 12th shutout of the season.

On the other side, Henry Azzolini tallied three saves in net for Shore (13-7-1).

Middlesex’s quarterfinal win ends Shore’s run of three straight sectional championships.

Middlesex (13-6-2) will host 16-seed Florence in the semifinals.
