Harrison makes its bones on 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

But when the dust settled in the Division 7 district final, the Hornets had come up short.

Harrison couldn’t get its vaunted running attack rolling, falling to visiting Shelby 30-16 and missing out on the program’s first district championship.

“In our offense, we need to get 3 yards every time. But a lot of times, the execution didn’t happen and we got 2,” Harrison coach Jamie Lipovsky said. “Every time we got something going, we’d make a mistake and it would push us back.”
