New Delhi: Kia India has introduced a new feature called the Plant Remote Over-The-Air (OTA) update system, becoming the first carmaker in the Indian auto industry to do so. This technology allows all Kia cars equipped with the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (CCNC) platform to receive the latest software updates remotely while they are still at the manufacturing facility. As a result, customers will receive vehicles that are already fully updated and ready to drive from day one.
Previously, car software updates were usually done manually at dealerships after delivery. With this new system, Kia has removed that extra step entirely.
