On a night when the offense produced six big-play touchdowns and the defense pitched a shutout, the public-address announcer saved some of his most effusive praise for the team’s 6-for-6 performance in extra points.

He wasn’t alone, either. Atlantic City coach Keenan Wright was stunned, too.

“I don’t think we’ve ever gone 6-for-6 in practice,” Wright said after Atlantic City rolled to a 42-0 victory over Toms River North in a NJSIAA/Xfinity South Jersey Group 5 sectional semifinal on Friday night on the Vikings’ wind-whipped field.

It was that kind of performance for top-seeded Atlantic City (9-1), which won its seventh in a row and advanced to host third-seeded Kingsway in the Nov. 14 sectional final.
