As it took the field to warm up before the second half on Friday night, Delran did not look anything like a team that was down two touchdowns and staring at another year without a sectional final appearance.

Senior quarterback Vinny Sacca ran for two TDs and third-seeded Delran outscored second-seeded West Deptford 21-0 after intermission on its way to a 28-20 win in the NJSIAA/Xfinity South Jersey, Group 2 semifinals in Westville.

The Bears improved to 10-1 and earned the program’s first berth in a sectional championship game since 1992. They will face top-seeded Haddonfield next week for the title.
