UK households are being sent £169 refunds from BBC TV Licensing - and thousands more could too. The Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) benefit Pension Credit is a gateway to a whole host of discounts and perks.
"I’m 75 and have always paid for my TV licence," the Sun reader wrote. "I receive pension credit and recently read that I am entitled to a free one.
"But I paid £169.50 for my licence last year and now think I didn’t need to. I don’t know how to get the money back. Can you help me? I live on my own and it’s very difficult to keep up with rising costs without paying for unnecessary bills."
